Ask.

My word for 2017.

An incredibly profound and forward moving word.

A word that requires action, bravery, courage, chutzpah.

A helpful word that reminds you, it's ok to ASK.

Ask.

Ask invites us to live our lives and address our needs. Ask suggests that what we want or need is on the other side of one question.

Ask has taken me out of my comfort zone and brought me so many types of gifts that I might not have had otherwise...even too many to describe here.

Ask is profound, sharing, caring, committed.

Ask is about getting closer to people and expanding horizons.

There were so many occasions this year when I wanted to ask something and would not have if this were not my Word of the Year. It's as if I would pause and realize, "Wait, ASK is my word! I CAN ask that!"

Ask is about permission and is a teacher.

I am ever so grateful for the word ASK -- I give it 5 stars and highly recommend it as a Word of the Year!! I do not think I have perfected the art of asking yet. There is so much more to ask.

Just a reminder that on December 31, 2017 I will send the annual post for our new words for 2018! We look forward to hearing about the words that will inspire and guide you and perhaps change your life! But don't share just yet...

For now, did you have a word for 2017? How has it served you? Will you share your insights about your 2017 word in the comments section below? We look forward to hearing from you -- your words inspire us!

Love,
Blessed

Such a great word, Ask, especially during the Season of Light. So many asks, I have for the Divine...kinder, friendlier world in 2018, please.

I had chosen, Divine Offering. I didn't think about these words but a handful of times all year.Yet, they have been underneath supporting me. I will be submitting my first book proposal by the end of the year. Thanks to Blessed for starting me out with a word of the year and in putting many words together writing blogs, her ASKS that supported me in finding this path and offering. Only she knows how this Divine Offering was the furthest from my thinking when we first met. In love and gratitude, Ann

The word "ask" has different meanings. Personally, the word "ask" for me is a very special word. Whenever I hear or read the word "ask", I always think of asking for help. Many people are hesitant when it comes to asking other people for help because they automatically assume that it shows a sign of weakness. Learning when to ask for help is actually a sign of strength because you are brave enough to admit that you need help in order to improve yourself.

Ask was such a great word for you! It is the ultimate word for self-love, I think. It served you well this year as you asked for what you wanted, and what you needed. We all get caught up in our own lives and drama, and it is so easy sometimes to be oblivious to what others might be needing. What a wonderful thing when friends ASK for what they want, instead of waiting for us flawed humans to notice their need, or to intuit their wants, and then to feel bad when our needs aren’t met.
I’m willing to bet that when you ASKED this past year, that the answers were overwhelmingly “YES!”

So, my word was FORWARD.
I meant this to mean many things. To move forward, to BE forward- (like you, and ask for what I want) ; to LOOK forward to better times.
While I feel like I have stayed stuck in my rut this year, I only have to reflect on a few things to realize just how much forward I have moved!
A signed lease on my dream art studio was certainly a forward move!
Cleaning out and selling my parents’ house was a huge emotional hurdle
Getting a new puppy when my heart wasn’t healed from the tragic loss of both Bunny and Ace.
Decluttering and letting go of “stuff” - while not completely finished, definitely a huge step forward.
And even cutting my hair was a radical step forward for me!

I was thinking that I might keep my word the same for next year, but now in writing this out, I have though of the perfect new word to keep me on track!
Thank you for ASKing us to choose our words! What a great way to focus our intentions!

My word Fidelity revealed many layers during the past year. It's definitions include devotion faithfulness exactness accuracy integrity truthfulness precise matching and precise copying. As I have practiced each of these qualities often haphazardly, sometimes with fidelity, I kept on uncovering the words meaning in my life. In fact, this word has led me to next years word!
